Robert wins first prize in the AAA/Americana category of the 2005 Unisong International Songwriting Contest, for his song, "My Corner".

Hill was recently in the studio, recording with blues icon, Honeyboy Edwards. Honeyboy is a Delta blues legend- one of his early partners was Robert Johnson. Hill played slide on two songs, one of which he co-wrote.
