TBT is located in the Historic Arriwani hotel just south of Eli Cannon's Tap Room. We are here to give the community a space to experience art in its varied forms...
We offer a unique resting spot to browse through books or listen to music, let your mind wander as you check out the art on our walls, or play a game of chess. We have a quiet side for the bookstore and board games and an open/art gallery space in which we hold poetry, spoken word and music performances. Our previously-owned books are all for sale and range from sheet music to Literature classics to a Star Trek collection. Our performances cover an eclectic range and on Sundays we even have casual gatherings for discussion and learning. Our space is unique and FEELS GOOD - come check us out and have a cup of coffee or tea. . .

Cable TV taping

"Horses Sing None Of It" - 7PM

I will be taping this with Joanne Lediger , vocals and Tom Wise, upright bass!
"...Horses Sing None of It!" is a non-commercial half-hour cable television series featuring a surprising variety of great entertainers in performance and conversation, produced and hosted by Ralph Litwin, twice NJ Old Style Banjo Champion, winner of the Uncle Dave Macon Freewheelin' Style & 2nd place in Harmonica at 1996 Uncle Dave Macon Days, Murfreesboro, TN, and a biographee in Who's Who In Entertainment (1997) and Who's Who In the East (25th Edition).
The series has won three awards from The Hometown Video Festival, the country's largest and longest-running community media competition: 1996 & 1997 in the category of Cultural/Ethnic Diversity, and 1997 in the Entertainment category.

Wondering Where the Title Comes From? The story is told in the opening montage that Big Bill Broonzy was once asked, possibly by Studs Terkel, if he considered his blues to be folk music. He replied: "Must be. I never heard no horses sing none of it!"

Whistling Willie's

The Music Room - 9 PM

184 Main St.
Cold Spring NY 10516
USA
845-
Price: TBA

I will be performing as a power-duo with upright bassist, Mark Murphy. Hosted by Kathleen Pemble, this is an excellent music series, in a great setting.

On a bright and sunny afternoon, September 17, 1849 to be exact,
the proud owners of the newly built Diamond Hotel opened their
doors for the first time.

During and immediately after the Civil War, the Diamond Hotel
became a Veterans Hospital, however, the saloon on the ground
floor continued to flourish.

After being returned to private ownership at the turn of the century,
The Diamond was remodeled and renamed the Hotel Mantero.

It remained as such until the McCaffrey family sold the property in 1978.
In 1986, Henry’s on the Hudson was established in what is believed
to be the original space of the Diamond Hotel’s saloon and of
course using what is believed to be the original mahogany bar!

In 2007 Whistlin Willie’s opened its doors continuing a
150+ year tradition of great food and drink.
